Reflections on Reality!

For a Scorpion~

I thought I would move on

Coz siblings tend to be bygone

It was hard when I tried

To hide tears when I lied

But i realize I should move on

Coz by now it’s a case forlorn

Dear! I tried in vain to find

U in he or he in U and became blind

Each affection has a flavour

Mother or brother – nothings in my favour

I promise I shall move on

Time mends hearts that are torn..

This is a a tribute to my friend on his birthday..which was yesterday! It probably doesnt make sense to neone else! probably not even him. So just consider this as a loving gesture for a lost friend!

  1. Now thats a wonderful poem, I mean it.

and yeah, move on ! Life runs too fast to remain upset for people who doesnt deserve it. ( I donno if it would make sense to you, but this is what I learned in the last few years ).

    Take care πŸ˜€

  2. Even if personal, a poem can be related to anyone. And this is the case here. I wish you wrote more poetry, because it sounds marvellous.
Thank you dear, and keep on… :>)

  5. Poignant. Period.

I quite understand. Parting ways is never easy. And “moving on” is easier said than done. Isn’t it? I guess time is indeed the so-called solution…

    “Time- the ultimate revealer.
    Time- the ultimate healer.
Time- with it comes hope and a new day,
Time- will tell how many stay true to what they say.
Time- will tell how many souls will be pained,
Time- something precious, that can never be regained.
    Time- you can bide, but never buy;
But, there is a time to be born…
    And a time to die.”

I wrote one on parting ways… A story. Do read when you have time.

  6. Yes, it might be not easy to translate Jacques PrΓ©vert. Some of his poems might, but others are so subtle, that we inevitably miss many understandings. Or the shape is truncated for the meaning.
I guess you could find good translations, or ask me, I could make it for you; as to some of them.
Sometimes, we can be stunned by discoveries in doing…
    I like his poetry, I couldn’t tell how. He’s a genious, I re-dicover.

Thanks also for your friendship and encouragements.

  7. Thanks for reminding me of something very nice that happened to me a long time ago. It wasn’t a birthday poem I received, but it was a poem and written by a friend of one of my teenage daughters. My daughter’s friend put into poetry how much she liked me for understanding young people her age. I’ve cherished those words ever since.

  8. Oh! how sweet – your comment made me smile. I too loved it when my friends parents were affectionate with me! I would have written poetry in gold for one ‘aunt’-in law. but somehow am shy to put it across ..even ths poem would never reach my friends ears!

  9. hey came to ur blog from your comment on Smita’s blog…and look what i found…too good poem….and it does make lot of sense…i mean, even though its personal it applies to everyone πŸ™‚
And I feel, we should not live too much in past since whether or not we move, time moves…and its always good to move hand in hand with time…. πŸ™‚
Adding you to my google reader now :D…would be regular πŸ˜€
